The Dutch maestro

He has got skills, visions, pace, and technical abilities, which make him one of the most wanted front-lining partners at Arsenal. His sublime killer pass has been pivotal to Arsenal goal-scoring records, and his discipline has been very much unconcerned on and off the pitch. Even the king of Highbury – Theirry Henry prefers to have him upfront so that he does not have to drop deep and focus on outrunning the opponent’s defense. That pretty much sums up who the player I referred to – Dennis Bergkamp.

Bergkamp is entering his 10th season as an Arsenal player. Undeniably he has done so much so much so much for Arsenal where former legend Tony Adam could not resist to label Bergkamp as “irreplaceable”. In summer 2004, it was not even enough to shaken Adam with the highly possible exit of influential captain P. Vieira. What Adam did take into consideration for his beloved club was the day when D. Bergkamp hangs his boots up, sharing his views on Bergkamp whose contribution to Arsenal is simply matchless.

His countless passes that sent his partnering marksman wild are simply remarkable & irresistible. In 2004-05 seasons, he managed to net 8 goals but that is just the tip of an ‘iceBerg’. Bergkamp has significantly impressed in goal creation, assisting 13 times in EPL. Only two players outclassed him in top flight – F. Lampard (14) & teammate T. Henry (16). The best goal Dennis has ever scored has got to be the one against Newcastle on 2001. Before his low drive to releasing the ball to pass Given, Bergkamp was faced with tight defence he cleverly flicked the ball and made a turn sending the defender all in vain. That was, I personally reckon, where the magic happened.

His commitment to the Red & White shirt is never questionable. With his professionalism, Bergkamp is a true great and pure class.
Rhys Wood said “Thank God there are still players like Henry, Bergkamp, Maldini, Costacurta, Puyol, Javier Zanetti, and so on who are still at their clubs not for the money they earn, but for the sheer joy they have and the love they have for their club”.

If that is, seems likely, Bergkamp’s last season, is it not coincidental that we are saying goodbye to two existing entities at Arsenal next season – Highbury and Bergkamp? When 2006-07 season kicks off, they will sorely be missed after tremendous amount of memorable moments they have given us.

The Invincibles

Seeing my beloved Arsenal unbeaten record coming to an end really drives my heart to an abyss. With the away defeated result at Old Trafford in 2004, many critics have been put in place ever since, stipulating the Gunners' untouchable record is now no more than a piece of history. Few commentators predicted the Gunners would finish the season 2004-05 lying on the EPL table no higher than 3rd spot. The Gunners stuck together and worked their head off to reclaim 2nd spot (when they were 5 points behind 2nd spot) and beat the Red Devils on the FA cup final. The intensity of old rivalry between the 2 massive clubs may have been eroded by a ‘third party’ in 2004-05 – the Blues. Chelsea should be congratulated with the consistency they showed so did their arrogance. The Blues have publicly vowed to emulate the Gunners' unbeaten run and soon after the cocky Morinhno's men got a timely fight-back from the tactician Arsene Wenger, saying "for us going through whole season undefeated is a REALITY, for them it is a DREAM". lol

The Gunners could, I strongly believe, count on the season 2004-05 as successful. Arsene Wenger may have paid the price of over-employment on relatively inexperienced youngsters. His faith will definitely be paid off by the talented young stars for the years to come. For now think deeply the likes of Pilippe Senderos, Gael Clichy, Robin van Persie, Mathiey Flamini, Francesc Fabregas, and Jose Antonio Reyes.

You might want to put up that football embraces large elements of varied perspectives, but the numbers do not lie.
· the 49 unbeaten run
· Biggest margin win on 7 - 0 demolition men result
· the sweet victorious over FA cup final
· the Community Shield
· Scoring 87 goals that is the highest goal-scoring team in EPL (15 goals more than Chelsea). Also the highest goal-scoring record under Wenger’s era
· Securing 83 points – third highest under Wenger’s realm
· Wenger has once again proved that he NEVER failed to steer the Gunners falling under 2nd EVER in 8 years.
· Thierry Henry shares the spoils of Golden Boot, manages back-to-back Hat-trick in spite of long-standing minor but nagging injury.

Irrespective of how the football worlds looking at my Gunners, I am still very proud to proclaim that when it comes to fascinating attacking and perfect computer game-like inch' passing football, Arsenal FC remains the only team to go for.

A writer shares his views, which truly reflects the footballing styles of Arsenal. It goes like this……
"They used to say Muhammad Ali could float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Arsenal swim with the grace of a dolphin - and bite like a shark" (anonymous, 2004)

Though the English Premier League title remains our first priority when fresh season kicks off, we will be ready to challenge the most prestigious cup – Champion League. Not only do we possess the ingredients but also we will be mentally capable of taking the trophy off Anfield.

Cottesloe

wiLL loves the beaches here. If I were to leave Perth, the crystally white sandy beaches is one of those things I would definitely miss. Chances of heading off beaches are getting limited since wintery season just kicking in and also going to a beach seems inevitable to have a 'reason'. 'Good' reasons being friend/ family outing, outdoor activity etc... Ain't we just taking everything for granted when sometimes something makes it so easy for us and yet we yell out there should be some sort of reasons for doing particular thing that we love? If you are passionate (or obsessed for extremists) about beaches, simply take your arse off the chair and get it out there, well, even for a tiny walk. Indulging yourself with the things you love is inseparable part of life......

Hold my Hand...

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father..

"There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go.But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go."

what do u feel when u r 3,000 feet above?

What sort of feelings do you usually embrace with your thoughts whenever & wherever you are taken few thousands feet off the ground? Flying with a metal object could be a mental torture if deprived of sleeps. Ironically speaking, travelling, especially alone, could probably be one of the best moments for one to re-capture his/ her past, it could outline the significance. It does not hurt trying when you are on a plane and can't get yourself in sleep next time.

Seeing is believing!!

This photo was taken in a dark & chilly afternoon. It tells a lot about how good the guitarist is, doesn't it? well... It should have been said how good the photographer is (camera effects). Many assert that seeing is believing - the Sun 'rises' from east then 'falls' at west being seen by our human eyes. Seeing is not necessarily believing. The Sun does not rise nor does it fall. What moves is the very ground that our feet have been planted upon - the Earth. Appearance can deceive, what is felt with the heart is the truest.

mooooooooo....

Thanks, Bee. Didn't really start a blog like this. Personally, I wasn'treally up to a blog on a website. Credits to Tak & Bee, the former was inspirational to me to start off, well.. the latter has been instrumental to my website (computer expert) lol.
