Borneo

Short: Second post in a day within an hour, actually I am quite 'busy' at work.

Sabah formerly known as Borneo has been found as one of the oldest and only remaining rain forest in the World.

"The remote and inaccessible forests in the Heart of Borneo are one of the world's final frontiers for science”.

It is nice to find out the place that we have lived for most of our life embraces one of the richest if not the richest natural resource for the scientists.

It is no wonder that some of our ‘west’ Malaysian pals would refer us as dwelling on the trees and finding our subsistence through hunting even rowing a board to another continent as such. How highly educated they are no offence though.

Red Card

Short: I will be having my 10-day Chrisy hols, pretty much will shake my balls at home for this period.

So you reckon the a player ever get three yellow card in a match (a big World Cup match - Croati vs. Australia) is rediculous? Well, some might argue it is for the controversial Graham Poll who refereed that match that caused on the spotlight. What would you say a player getting three RED CARDS!?!?!?!??!

Car

Christmas has long become a commercial cash-cow opportunity to various retailers these days. It is a shame the meaning of Christmas is lost and yet everyone seems to have embraced so well with former view.
.............................................................................................

Well, I think motor vehicles are bound to be men’s inescapable subject in various manners, you could talk about car model from Crossfire to WRX, Porsche to Opel, Merc to BMw, also to the lower range of Skylight to 200sx, Supra to Nissan 350z, MR2 Spider to RX8. And of course you just cannot mention without with the following two monsters:

This one may well be worth just under $400k

ermmm........ apprx. $650k (if memory serves me correctly).

Mind you, the pricetag of the above-shown cars may well get you a pretty nice mansion!!!

Happy Birthday

There are two types of people--those who come into a room and say, 'Well, here I am!' and those who come in and say, 'Ah, there you are.'

Comedy

On 12th December 2006, two heavyweights clash of titan between Chelsea and Arsenal. The youthful side of Arsenal have made the mutlimillion-packed Chelsea look pretty ordinary, haven't they? Forget about the mind game, Cole-Gallas situation, or even the result. The highlight of the game should go to the idiotic acts between Lehman and Drogba. Even Arsene Wenger said it is too good not to label as "Comedy".

Soccernet

One of the most if not the most read footy website in the World. Professional journalists & famous commentators work their bum off for, a must-read site for footy lovers, a comprehensive live converage across europe matches, a very much up-to-date players' profiles, window transfer etc. I must warn you not to expect juicy gossips like David Becham's wife hanging out with Katie Holmes spending millions on SM outfits, No no no. It is purely football.

A Strange Fact Revealed

The current World Cup 2006 winner in Germany is – Italy. The colour of jersey they were wearing while playing against France was blue – home team colour…….

The rotation of wearing a specific colour in a professional football match is that if two teams have the same official colour, the host will get to wear their traditional colour and the visitor will wear their away colour unless the colour of their home jersey is a different one as opposed to the host’s. Of course, this does not always happen but hard to give rise to variance as well. Which team would get to wear their home jersey if both teams play each other on a neutral ground? The definitive answer is beyond an ordinary man knowledge; a fair call should be made by coin-tossing-like process.

A more telling hard fact as mentioned above should be made reference to recent European big football stages. A football fan should not be too unfamiliar with one of the most if not the most unlikely final triumph – 2005 Champion League eventual winner Liverpool, on that night in Istanbul Liverpool were wearing red; the club traditional colour. On the counter end, AC Milan were on white; their away jersey. Approximately one year later, Barcelona and Arsenal both play each other for the same European trophy, Barcelona emerged victorious on that occasions. The night on Paris Barcelona were wearing red and blue, their club official colour and Arsenal were in yellow; their seasonal away shirt.

Now let’s rewind the clock back to 2004 Champion League final between Porto FC vs Monaco, the winner was Porto who was wearing its own official colour – blue and white. Still not convinced? What about the Manchester United’s famous trebles? On the road to completing their last and third trophy was the Champion League in 1999. So there they were achieving an undeniably successful feast wearing their traditional colour red and the one missing out that night was Bayern Munich who wore its away colour – white.

Back to World Cup stages, Brazil, France, and again Brazil all won in 1994, 1998, & 2002 respectively, wearing their respective traditional home colour though their counterpart had theirs as well.

Coincidence or conspiracy?

He is da Man

When someone says if you are a backward thinker you will be slowing your forward-looking process. All I am trying to say is if you are a nostalgic person, you tend to get content with what you have but might stall on your very growth. Still doesn’t make sense. It is okay and you will when you come to feel that you’ve grown older. Maybe when you can taste the sense of being in your manhood.

Received a message from an old buddy last night, and my cell phone screen read……..
Time and tide wait for no one; still remember we were 17th years old? Cherish everything belongs to you….”

Childhood minus One

Looking the size of mine now does not really tell how ‘tiny’, em… correction, skinny I was before does it? I was a big bully when I was a troubling teenage. Well, it is true to some extent, actually I was not a bully but I was bullied all the times when back in secondary school. Believe it or not all guys back in high school just want to be tai lou (big brother), little to my surprise it was all due to the ‘good work’ past through from HK firms – Young & Dangerous. Doesn’t that ring he bell? The firms went so overwhelmingly busting in mid & late 90s.

If you were born in early 80s, you would grow up watching Tai Si Toi and listening to Beyond’s songs. Computer? What the heck was computer to me at that time? I was so stupid to try to get the idea between a ‘Window’ and a computer. MIRC was the most ancient ‘tool’ I ever knew how to operate in a computer. Look at the kids now…. Sigh~~~. In Malaysia, if you grew up from those more kampongs (rural areas) town, you would go fishing using a hand-rode in the river sides or the big ‘longkang’, if not under the bridge.

Rewind a few years back, four heavenly kings were the biggest hit in town. Only some so-called self-proclaimed anti-fashioner went against it and supported the alternative like Oasis, Blur, the Wallflowers, Scorpions, and Metallica.. of course Metallica. Well, for those who do not know who four heavenly old c*nt are, here is a list of name to help you refresh your memories:
Andy Lau,
Leon Lai,…….. I’ll stop the list before I can’t stop myself throwing out.

Before graduating primary school you would exchange ‘memorial diary’ to scribble a few words with your classmates and cried as if there was no tomorrow when the ‘good-bye’ song was sung in the last assembly of your year. Ok la, I admit I did this before and found it girly. You were allocated a roaster for all the once-a-week duty (cleaning the window, weeping the floor, clearing the bin etc). Much to my surprise now, discrimination already took some part of form back in my school time where those you got to the last duty of the list *cough* clearing the bin *cough*. It is either you are smelly, stupid in class, always fail in your exam, or very ugly.

Some people would even performed extra duties ‘voluntarily’. This is true when the teacher’s pet that records who do their work and who don’t also the one you had a crush on. Much to my astonishment now, I could not believe that I did that on countless occasions. Shame on myself!!!

Funnily but truthfully, the friends you made in this period of you before entering your 20s are large but only few stay close and will remain so forever.
Standing in the era of entering my 30, I cannot help thinking back all this, I would not be the person I am today had I not had these childhood.

Quote from Jens

"Well when I came to Arsenal in 2003 I didn't even know they were going to have a new stadium. I always wondered what they were building next to Highbury, and about a year after I signed Gilberto told me that it was going to be Arsenal's new stadium!" - Jens Lehmann.

Astonising isn't it?

Brand New Stadium!

2005/06 EPL season had come to the final curtain last two week, and here I am again doing a brief review. Really couldn't believe it has been a year since I did a commentary review on 2004/05 Arsenal season here, namely The Invincibles. I am not prepared to go through a thorough analysis of how Arsenal season had been. But I would pluck one interesting point that I made last year - "Though the English Premier League title remains our first priority when fresh season kicks off, we will be ready to challenge the most prestigious cup – Champion League. Not only do we possess the ingredients but also we will be mentally capable of taking the trophy off Anfield".
I think it is safe to say that the first claim was negligible while the second---- YES! WE CAME SO CLOSE! I made a bold claim that Arsenal were ready to challenge the most prestigious cup, and they proved me right and the doubters wrong. They got into the Final for the first time ever in Arsenal history and were undeservingly defeated by eventual winner - Barcelona. With 10 versus 11 for over 70 minutes to go over the match. Still, we took the lead. My regret, also many viewers', is we didn't have the chance to watch a true classic final with even number. Until then, we dont' feel like losers - F. Fabregas. I think, as many would agree, we never lost.

I am also not inclined to speculate what trophy Arsenal will bring back after the World Cup fewer – new EPL season 2006/ 07, nonetheless my feeling is Arsenal nailing down the Premier League title for the fourth time under Arsene Wenger’s regime, while the Champion League will be a harder target though it is not unachievable. Arsenal will, I would argue, come back much hungrier and stronger than last season and not so obscure to foresee that they have formed the bond within the team i.e. they have learned as a team. The fact can be largely reflected from season 2002/03 where they came agonizingly close of landing back-to-back Premier League title but fell short and conceding to Manchester united. Soon after the season resume in 2003/2004 they achieved what was famously labeled by the Manager Arsene – The Invincible, in which they went through the whole season unbeaten. Similar feat is to happen for the upcoming season? We will see…..

But it is an engulfing feeling that we have a whole brand new stadium to play for. COME ON YOU GOONER!!!!

Random Quote

“I told my son Josh that Howard Wilkinson wanted Daddy to play for England. He told my daughter Olivia and they had tears in their eyes as they asked me, “Does that mean you're not going to play for Arsenal any more?” - Lee Dixon

Yes, the blood flows with the Gunner. After conceding the thropy to Barcelona in a 10-men manner, I consider we feel proud, "more than proud" - T.Henry.

When "F" word is considered appropriate

OooOoooPppssss~. Excuse muα, excuse with the "F" word. This photo was a capture of me being unwilling to be taken, it tells a lot how much I hated it when someone taking my photo when I was fully swingy here and there - drunk. Not blaming this brainless people, but that made me really cross and on this occasion I thought it was one of the most appropriate 'opportunity' to use the word "F*** OFF!!!". If the photographer were reading this, I would say "F*** you to the max + one".

2005/06 Holiday visited

A Holiday I paid briefly on the rolling over year between 2005-06. At that time, I felt engulfted with everything back home owing to the fact that I was not home for about two years. I feel particularly warm with home now.... some memories worth flashing back.

First ever took up a flight with RBA - Royal Brunei Airline

Typical WA - Western Australia lanmarks.

Anything better than that of MAS? More generous 'cos they cater more buns? NO! I requested for it.

Christmas tree? no idea serious...........

An unbelievably cozy house I spent during 2005 post-Christmas seasons...

Twilight of the evening - a nicely presentable but not so fancy restaurant in Miri - Sarawak.

Congrats!

Finally!! You are offically a graduate. Though we may call each other w*nker, d*umbass, all the swearing words, you name it. But inside, it is just a blessing to have you around, to have you as such a friend that I can't put a word in it at times, and for all feeling so proud of you is a real sense of being in my comfort zone.

Life may not turn out as wonderful as we envigased, and things might just go against us badly. If we take it as a challenge than burden, we may as well prevail the hardship, and to fight for what we think we deserve that makes us a stranger person.

It Remains Me.

Updating my blog here. The thing that I have not been doing for... ermm.. nearly 6 months? Ridiculous, bad boy bad boy. The above-attached photo may tell how much I have/ haven't changed over the course of 6-month. I will always be the person you folks see me.
It may be just too much and overwhelming for me to wrap up what and how things have been over the period when I was 'missing'. I find a way to utterly stipulate it.....
